Meet the Artist

Being a storyteller is one of my favorite ways to approach your day. I love capturing the fun adventurous moments AND the intimate quiet ones.

I’ve been an artist/creative person my whole life. I paint, sing, and I’ve done community theatre (love it all) I’ve also had a love for traveling and adventure since I was a little girl. Growing up we spent every summer in Colorado, camping, hiking and exploring all over the mountains. Even though I currently live in Omaha, NE we spend as much time in Colorado as possible…If we’re not skiing and snowboarding, we’re hiking and mountain biking! As an adult my love for adventure turned into a love for traveling all over the world and exploring new places.

When I started doing wedding photography and learned I could combine that with my love for travel, I truly found my niche in life.

I love the connection photography gives me with my couples. Connection creates trust, and trust creates friendship. I don’t want you to see me as a vendor or yourself as a client. We’re friends. I really do want to know you and be more than a photographer.

I want to create an experience for you, and tell your story in a deep and personal way.

I’ve been a photographer for over 10 years. I started out just playing around with my camera as a hobby but I fell in love with the process of creating beautiful and unique photos. I’ve been a full time wedding photographer for the past 7 years, and I’ve shot over 150 weddings. I love focusing on connection, light, and capturing moments as they unfold naturally. I give direction when needed but I want our time together to be different than anything you’ve experienced, whether you have been photographed before or not.

My approach is documentary, which means I’m going to capture the true moments as they happen in front of me. The candid and honest moments are the ones that are unposed and real. I love that every time I pick up my camera, the story will be completely different than the last. My main focus above all else is that my couples are having a good time. I often hear by the end of a session about how easy and fun it was!

I’m all about capturing moments and freezing them in time.

Those real and raw emotions, the ones that make you feel as you look back on them. I want your photos to be meaningful to you, something you save for generations to come. Because that’s really what it’s all about.
